There's a Nap For That 'n' stuff

Some items donated to the thrift store
[a little break from whatever the humans are up to]

There's a nap for that bumper sticker.
[pun on 'there's an app for that'].
I took this home. Sleeping is my drug of choice, my stress-aid. I've been sleeping a lot just lately...

BELOW: Vintage sewing patterns, from when a 32" bust = Size 12

We got three boxes of "Made in Occupied Japan" ceramics. They're mostly knock-offs of standard Dresden figurines and so forth, but there are a few interesting ones... like these musicians:

BELOW: I added the fish (from the same batch ^ of ceramics) to my personal shelf at work--they keep me company:

Em trying on a pair of Inuit snow goggles (to prevent snow blindness).

Eberhard Faber Mongol pencil, came in a box of drafting supplies, 1970s?

This is an iconic pencil. Its black-and-gold ferrule--the metal band around the eraser--makes it easy to spot onscreen--
below, in the Mary Tyler Moore Show (1971).

Picture ^ from Orange Crate Art--one of many Mongol Sightings there--and where I learned everything I know about pencils. (Not much.)
(Thanks, Michael!)

  1. The fish is FAVORITE- And the Nap attack- I am sleeping more these days too. Ten hours a night and maybe a nap at 3:00. You are at ground zero, the intensity !!! The lies thrown into the mix are all so crazy making. I worry for you and your people there in the heat of it all. Soon I am reckoning the disease will spread - totalitarianism is not subtle.
