"How to Resist Like a Terrier and Get in Good Trouble"

This morning before work, I'm helping bink fold 200 copies of her zine –– How to Resist Like a Terrier and Get in Good Trouble –– to hand out at the "Hands Off!” rally tomorrow.

"The power of people is greater than the people in power."
––Cory Booker, quoting Wael Ghonim * of the pro-democracy Egyptian Revolution of 2011

"Our revolution is like Wikipedia, okay?
Everyone is contributing content, [but] you don't know the names of the people contributing the content.
Revolution 2.0 in Egypt was exactly the same.
Everyone contributing small pieces, bits and pieces.
We drew this whole picture of a revolution.
And no one is the hero in that picture."

--Wael Ghonim, 2011

Or, you could say, EVERYONE is a hero in that picture.

It's sad to remember that that revolution was inspired by a Facebook page (and Ghonim was a young executive at Google).
These web powers used to be the Good Guys, or so it seemed...

(Not that we can't still use them as tools for good trouble. I'm blogging on Google right now.)

Make good trouble!

  1. Bink's Zine !!! So accurate and so good- from a terrier's point of view, life looks do-able. Clever and fabulous for the event! Great !! there will be trouble we can count on it!

  2. Many compliments to bink - so perfectly captures the feelings of the moment and the terrierishness is very real and very needed. A Cat version would be interesting indeed.
