So, so weird, friends.
1. bink just texted me NOW:
“I went home instead of errands…to find ICE was in our hood. One neighbor filmed them cuffing, but then releasing, a woman at 33rd & Lyndale.
“M and C went out with whistles on 34th, and saw ICE snatch a guy from the parking lot behind the apartment building there.
Said he was a citizen.
Neighbor Jim said ICE smashed the windows of a car that followed them between those locations but the people in the car okay. 🤬”
2. And another friend texted me:
“ This is absolutely horrible.You know that I know it:
at around ten o'clock, one of the directors of our food shelf saw six white vans parked across from incarnation church. [Where I, Fresca, went to Mass yesterday]
So he walked up to the first van and said , ‘oh , are you here for our food shelf?’
The guy was masked and said no , and dan walked away the vans set there a little while longer. And then they all left.
It's crazy out there. You be careful.I know you bike and take the bus. I pray for you and all of your friend's safety during this horrific time.

It’s so weird to be like at war on home ground!!!!
This is my city, but as I wrote to a friend across the country,
We all live right next door.
