Gandhi, when asked to summarize his life in 25 words, said he could do it in 3 (and also summarize Hinduism):
"Renounce and enjoy."
This morning I started re-reading my blog from its very beginning in fall 2008.
Reading all 5,000 posts--averaging 3 minutes/post--would take me 250 hours.
So, I don't know if I will, but so far I'm surprised that I'm really enjoying it.
I'd expected to be embarrassed by my younger self, to want to cut and delete what she (I) had written. I had in mind that in my desire to get off Google, maybe I'd just delete the entire blog---was there anything worth keeping?
There is!
I'm interested in what I had to say.
I'm following up some of my links and leads.
The quote from Gandhi (quoting an Upanishad) still fits me--and is a welcome reminder for what I'm trying to do here & now:
To renounce some Big Tech and the misguided ways of our political leaders (and my own attachment/panicked reactions to them),
. . . and,
To enjoy being here, made of stars.
