Networking Images 3 .
"Networking" here is meant in a broad sense, including communication technologies (practical tools) and design that connect people and ideas.
Like, here's some of the technology I'm using for research.

I keep collecting these interconnecting images as I go along. I'm crazy for the recurring patterns. Things look like other things, I'm always saying.

Another clever visual pun: "Slytherin Revised," from
Marci and Deth. (Everyone knows Slytherin is Snape's school, in Harry Potter, right?) marcianddeth.blogspot.com/2010/11/slytherin-revised.html
Oh, I mentioned Snape. According to The Rule, that means I must post an image of him.
*runs to nets, rummages in drawers*
OK, this one made me laugh. "I haven't got all day, you know." Snort.
From here.
These images SPEAK - too bad you can't have a chapter that is just photographs!
ReplyDeleteHey! I love you and thank you for these images. This time of year/this side of the equator, moving from fall to winter. like many others, I'm contemplating life cycles. Every image except the wampum belts makes me understand why the suicide rate is so high in this nationstate. Give me beads and shells, sinew, skin and song at any moment over all the rest of it and I'll choose to continue on this earthly plane--as long as we have access to good water and land and air and food and the right herbs and laughter. Thinkin' about self-referential stuff in culture/s too, a lot, like the fish.
ReplyDeleteWrite On and don't forget to look outside up in the sky between Monday and Tuesday for the Solstice Lunar Eclipse!
Stefalala
In grad school, when we were trying to form a graduate student employeed union, we made t-shirts with the "join, or die" snake image, and were told by one person that they were "threatening." I suppose it was the comma!
ReplyDeleteHey, my captcha word is "weybetch"! I"m sure I can find some way to use that in a sentence:)
And you added even more! I really think you ought to have a photo essay - these are amazing.
ReplyDeleteDude, Alan Rickman. Totally!
ReplyDeleteYeah! News from the "Writing of the Communications Book"! I've been hoping for that.
ReplyDeleteGot your greeting card -- I must say that our man/woman marriage is more stable and satisfying than it's ever been. Probably from clinging together in horror at the idea one of us might suddenly prefer to marry someone of the same sex as soon as it's legal :D
Thanks, all. I'm obviously not keeping up with responding to comments (or posting!), but I appreciate them all!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
