Drum Major Girlette!

The Marching Band Parade

Waiting around to line up...

On the move.

I had no idea that Girlette Low could do the coolest move--the Drum Major leaning-back strut!

The others had fun trying, but couldn't tilt far back and stay upright. It takes insane core strength!

Strumming tunes after the parade.

Human fingers are the limiting factor in Winter Photography.
I'd wanted to do more parade set-ups, but my fingers got too cold.
I'm glad I only had a short walk home to warm up.

    1. They had a great time!
It wasn’t too dreadfully cold here—mid-30s—but damp, and I was sitting on the ground…
Next year’s Parade might be inside!

      Merry Christmas, k.!

    1. It was a good move to do this on a very gray day

  3. Fresca, are you sure they're "just" dolls? That looks like a living line.

I hope they all had cocoa afterwards. With marshmallows, of course.

      But yes, cocoa was consumed

  4. Human so agile and patient! I know that Girlettes have their own ideas and can make photography difficult sometimes. - just as the shutter is clicked one decides it might be a good idea to lay down and take a quick nap. You are hearty to go out there in the weather! Girlettes don't mind weather, they could have been there all day. Anyway, the photos are spectacular! The music is very marchy. Love the drum enthusiasm! All so excellent! Brave patient you!

    1. My patience ran thin as my fingers grew cold!
You are so right about Girlettes having their own agenda – –
In this case, they were all wanting to high kick like a drum major – strut, strut, strut
      – which caused them to all fall down in a line, laughing mightily among themselves.

      They are my joy,
but also sometimes I scream (but never scream at them).
