Keep Phones & Kids Safe; Photo round-up

Ooh, my apartment-owner just came to check my bathtub drain, which was draining slowly.
And.... Omg, THE HAIR! The wet wads he pulled out were like a horror movie.

Sometimes there's a simple solution:
clean the drain.

OOOooooooh.

Another simple solution in the US, from yesterday's NPR: “How you can stop spam texts"Register your phone at the National Do Not Call.
HERE:
 www.donotcall.gov

I just did--super easy, they just ask for your phone # and email (they send you a link to confirm)--the website looks like this:

NPR says, "Older adults might be more resistant to scams:
People age 65 and older don't answer calls or texts from an unknown source ––and are twice as likely to be registered with the National Do Not Call Registry or similar services."

"The Do Not Call Registry stops unwanted sales calls — live calls or robocalls — from real companies that follow the law."
(Of course that's not rip-off artists, but it's something.)

Images can contain information that allows predators to track children, for example, the child’s school or uniform, or the street name of the family home,  while geotags can track the child’s real-time location.

"By combining this with other information, (perhaps gained through phishing or on the Dark Web through data breaches), malicious actors can steal the child’s identity ....
Another potential consequence is unwitting exposure to child predators. "

I am committed to doing my PT though-- as motivation, I can listen to the Foreign Affairs podcast while I do.
The news is dreadful, but it's weirdly encouraging to listen to smart people talk about complex issues.
We're not all idiots.
