It's a chilly August morning (58ยบ!), which means... it's almost State Fair Time.
Same as last year, the girlettes are asking for rides at home. (Last year there was a cupcake-go-round and a spinna-hamster wheel.)

Yep, works good. The girlettes say Marz spins them the best:
she is left handed and spins them in the opposite direction than I (being right handed) would.
I must find more spinning objects for a full Midway experience.
The gadget is an Androck food (egg, mayonnaise) beater, which, surprisingly, Housewares did NOT put in metal recycling. I got it for 99 cents.
These beaters were made from 1939–1943, according to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, and originally came with a glass bowl (right). I should be able to find something suitable at work.
